You Stood There

Posted by

You stood there.
You stood there while a cried a river of tears,
It filled my surroundings and nearly drowned me.
I couldn’t breathe underwater, but you were fine, because
You just stood there.
You stood there while I was about to fall into an abyss of despair,
and I was barely hanging on to the edge that was my sanity.
Sure, you didn’t kick my hand off the cliff, but
You did just stand there.
You stood there when my grandma was dying and I had no one to
turn to. My head turned to violence, and I had no outlet.
I had no means to escape the pain and suffering.
You stood there, and instead of helping me you remained silent.
You stood there.
