Welcome, weebs and authors alike, to The Aniwriter.
For day three of the 30 Day Poetry Challenge, here is the third poem titled: Fantasies
Loneliness often makes for the best company.
Inside your own head, you can do whatever you want:
Go on an epic adventure, become a hero who saves the day,
or even raise loved one from the dead.
However, loneliness has its limits.
A fantasy is just a fantasy after all.
They will always be subjugated to the realm inside our minds.
In this way, love is similar.
It is easy to fall in love, but it is much harder to make it a reality.
Despite being 19, I have not escaped high school fantasies that somehow love
will fall upon me like a princess waiting to be saved.
As such, I have decided that I will work for the love I want to have,
and I will cherish it for as long as I shall live because
I do not wish to remain stranded on the dark side of my own heart.
